The DeKalb County (Alabama) Genealogical Society was organized in February 2000 for the purpose of preserving the heritage of families who live or have lived in this area and to accumulate data available to researchers.
Dues are fifteen dollars a person or twenty dollars a family, renewable each year on or before January first.
This is a sample form for membership (which you can use your browser
& tool bar to [edit, select], [edit, copy], and [edit, paste]
into Microsoft word, Microsoft Works wordpad or notebook
and save, then print out from your own computer. If you
don't have that ability, you can write it on any kind of paper
in this format and submit with dues & pedigree chart to
the Society. Also, if you will contact email@example.com, I
can email a .pdf form. If you don't have a genealogy software program that
lets you print out charts, you can look on rootsweb.com and
other genealogy sites and print a blank form to fill out
with your information.

please write at the bottom or on the back of the form: "I give consent

The society is currently working on updating surveyed cemeteries
through 12/31/2010 (we are nearing publication of the cemetery
book/s.) and building up the references in the research room at
the DeKalb County Public Library (an ongoing project).
We are working on publication of our pedigree charts, pedigree
forms are being collected at this time; an enclosed index of names
on your pedigree pages will be helpful.
